Electrical Instrument Engineer





1. Design and specify the electrical power generation and distribution systems for the LNG tanker, including main switchboards, emergency power systems, and lighting systems.

2. Develop instrumentation and control systems for cargo handling, tank monitoring, and gas detection, ensuring compliance with LNG-specific safety requirements.

3. Design and integrate automation systems for propulsion control, cargo operations, and auxiliary systems, optimizing vessel performance and safety.

4. Perform electrical load analyses and power management studies to ensure efficient and reliable power distribution throughout the vessel.

5. Develop detailed wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts for electrical and instrumentation systems.

6. Specify and select appropriate electrical and instrumentation equipment, considering the marine environment and hazardous area classifications specific to LNG tankers.

7. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical and instrumentation systems with mechanical, naval architecture, and safety systems.

8. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems during construction and sea trials, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
