Crewing Sr. Manager






JOB OVERVIEW :

Responsible for managing the Crewing & Training divisions, especially regarding crewing management to ensure the availability of the ship's crew can be met according to the ship's needs and specifications

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

CREWING

  1. Ensuring the needs of the crew can be met refers to quality, quantity, ship specification and timeline
  2. Ensuring each crew meet standard qualification based on company policy
  3. Work closely with management to ensure crew performance is managed effectively
  4. Ensuring the welfare of the crew is effective and competitive with existing market
  5. Manage agency vendors within the scope and work closely with them for crew handling
  6. Provide supervision of crewing activities and crew allocation
  7. Evaluate crew rotation plans to optimize the continuity of seafarers' availability
  8. Optimize company system to maintain seafarer data
  9. Oversee crewing department budget and provide report of budget usage
  10. Review all seafarer’s performance and disciplinary cases.

TRAINING

  1. Provide and evaluate annual training schedule
  2. Providing training based on ability (Depending on the certification held)
  3. Make an evaluation for each training held to analyze shortcomings and make improvements in the next training.
  4. Update the training module every 1 year or if there is a need or a change in regulations
  5. Update regulations if there are changes to be implemented in the next training
  6. Organizing annual safety seminars: safety seminars for officers, safety seminars for ratings

 

QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Bachelor Degree / Master Degree from Maritime College, majoring Port and Shipping Management or ANT-I/ANT-II (for seafarers)
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Crewing Manager / Training Manager in shipping company
  3. Having vast connection within seafarer
  4. In-depth understanding related to STCW 2010 and Flag Regulation
  5. Able to work with fast-paced environments
  6. Proficient in English is a must
